IC-7800
Icom has been developing radio communication equipment for over forty years. Our history has been technical challenge and excellence from the first analog PLL circuit in the IC-200, to the ground-breaking 32-bit floating point DSP of the IC-756PRO. Icom has always given shape to ideas with this technical accumulation. Recent Ham radio stations increasingly use high power and high gain antennas that raise the field strength of unintended signals, and thus require a wider receiver dynamic range. Icom has developed the new flagship model IC-7800 which is a fusion of forty years analog RF circuit development expertise, with cutting edge digital technology.
The result is 110dB dynamic range, +40dB 3rd order intercept point in HF bands and other phenomenal performance features. The receivers combine various current and new technology, to obtain the +40dBm IP3, a specification never before achieved in Ham radio. Quite simply put, the IC-7800 is the ultimate Ham radio. IC-756Pro III
HF/50MHz Allmode Transceiver with IF-DSP
Since October 2004 on the new transceiver IC-756Pro III is available from Icom. This rig is not simply a successor to the well known 756Pro II (which will still be available), but enhances the line of rigs from Icom.
The IC-756Pro III inherits some of the features from the flagship radio IC-7800. Like it's big brother it uses a roofing filter (fundamental type, not overtone), enhaces the bandpass switching and inductors etc. All this leads to a much improved IP3 of +30dBm (@14MHz).
Here the most important changes and enhancements of the IC-756Pro3:
- Fundamental type roofing filter (as IC-7800)
- Improved IP3 at +30dBm (@14MHz)
- Bandfilter switching improved - less distortions
- Bandfilter with larger inductors - less distortions
- The very useful realtime spectrum is now available even when you use other menu functions.

IC-7400
Shortwave/50MHz/2m Allmode Transceiver with IF-DSP
The IC-7400 (known as IC-746Pro in other markets) uses the same IF DSP concept as in the IC-756ProII. This results in exceptional receiver capabilites, also on 2m. No need to buy expensive crystal filters, define any filter you like with the DSP functions. A built-in RTTY decoder allows reading of RTTY transmissions (45Bd) without using a PC. 100 memories, supported by many scan functions offer enough space to store your favorite frequencies. CTCSS and DTCS functions enhance the useability on VHF. The bandscope shows the current situation on a band at a glance. Remote control of nearly all transceiver function is possible with the CI-V interface (CT-17 and software required).
