WiMo supplies ready made cables suitable to our antennas and most wireless-LAN devices. On request we manufacture any cable to customer specificatiosn, also in single quantities.
Pigtails are short pieces of cable used to adapt from small connector systems to larger ones. Usual adaptors are less suitable due to mechanical reasons. Pigtails are made from thin and flexible coaxial cable. Although this cable has a higher attenuation it has to be used because no other cable is available for some small connectors.
To assist you in selecting the right connector for your WiFi equipment, here are some size comparisions of connectoirs commonly used with WiFi equipment.
The small surface mount connector is called Ipex or U.FL™, but U.FL™ is a registered trademark of Hirose. So Ipex and U.FL™ are the same connectors, just from different vendors.

30cm Window pass-through |
||
| For WiFi and other applications. The flat cable is passed through the window frame. Length 30cm, attenuation approx. 1.2dB at 2.4GHz., connectors RP-SMA female, RP-SMA male. The cable has a thickness of approx. 1.6mm, perhaps check if your window can accomodate that with a paper strip. SMA connectors are not watertight. For that reason a strip of selfadhesive, sealing tape is included for the outdoors connector. |

WiMo offers a wide range of connectors and adaptors. here we only show a selection relevantto WLAN usw. A full list of coaxial connectors can be found here.
SMA, TNC, BNC, N and some other connectors are available as normal and "reverse" versions. This is relevant to the type of center conductor - where you would expect a female contact is a male and vice versa. Since the introduction of these reverse types the meaning of "jack" and "plug" have become quite confused...: We keep to the rule that something with an outer thread is a jack (usually found on a router), something with an inner thread is a plug.
| Outer conductor | Center conductor | |
|---|---|---|
| Normal plug: | Inner thread | Male |
| Normal jack: | Outer thread | Female |
| Reverse plug: | Inner thread | Female |
| Reverse jack: | Outer thread | Male |
